Top 3 Fatty Foods You Should Definitely Avoid

Ayesha Aziz

There’s something about the bad stuff out there. We are most attracted to it. It’s almost like a cheesy “bad boy meets the sweetest girl in the whole world.” While in those rom coms things might turn out well, the reality can be different for you, especially when it comes to bad food. Whenever we eat these delicious goodies, we end up with the ultimate food guilt.

The horror’s more pronounced if you’re trying to lose weight. Because with these in your sight, it becomes almost impossible to achieve your weight goals. However, I like to believe that we are all strong-willed humans. We won’t be that easily enticed by bad food, right? So, let’s take a look at the things that we have to stop eating, starting today.

Soft Drinks

A single 12-ounce can of coca-cola contains 39 grams of sugar in it. Do you know how many teaspoons that is? Almost 10! That’s more than just a lot. Regardless, the drink tastes super. But it might be the worst thing that you could feed yourself. After consuming so many calories (about 190), you might think that you’ll stop feeling hungry. Again, not true. They make you want to eat even more. That’s a double whammy! A study even showed that regular consumption of soft-drinks can cause pancreatic cancer.

Now you might think how about some boxed-juices? They seem to be pretty healthy. They have fruits in them, after all. Next time you think so, take a real apple and an apple juice. Take a bite of one and a sip of the other. It’s never “pure apple juice.” You should try eating fresh fruits instead.

Baked Food

Now, this might break a lot of hearts. For many, cookies, cakes, brownies, cupcakes, and pastries are all that makes them happy. But that bad news is that they are also flooded with sugars. They are extremely high in calories and definitely not something that you should be eating regularly.

They may contain refined flour and sugar along with trans-fats (they are the bad guys in the fat world). These are infamous for causing weight gain. Yes, they smell and taste heavenly. But they can wreck absolute hell to your body. So, it’s time you take a step away from them.

Ice Cream

This might be crossing the line for some people out there. It is the go-to snack for all those who are looking for a bit of comfort after a stressful day. Isn’t that how most of us get attracted to these foods, though? Sure there’s milk in some of these, so you’ll be getting some calcium in your body. But the high caloric intake definitely makes it a bit undesirable to the health freaks.

I do have a nice alternative for you. How about you mix some fruits in yoghurt? It’ll not even slightly taste like ice creams, but it is delicious and far healthier. You don’t have to completely stop eating them. A small cup, now and then, will help uplift your mood without causing any harm.
