Nature has given us the beauty of fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices. It is marvellous and unbeatable. Hands down, one of the biggest food players out there is turmeric which has long herbal and flavour enhancer characteristics.
When we saw spices and eat them on daily basis, I think we can’t try to know about their detailed so much. Yes, I am talking about history, of course. Spices are full of health and protect us from different diseases. It is such treasure! Truly.
History

It belongs to the family of Zingiberoside same as ginger. Science bestowed it with the name of Curcuma longa. It has a yellow-orange color which is commonly called golden spice. It has a long history and used in different countries according to their cultures.
It has such a highly valued commodity that was used as a currency exchange. It has been mostly used in the Indian Vedic culture and Indians called it Hali, use it for their religious purpose. It became part of Chinese, Ayurvedic, and Unani medicine. I think that much history would be enough for now. It is also known as” Indian saffron”

Where can you find this gold?
It was cultivated in South India and parts of South Asia. Now it can be found in China, East and, South Africa and Jamaica. Erode; the city of Tamil Nadu in South India is the big producer and trading center, known as “yellow or turmeric city”. The second producer of turmeric is Sangli, the city of Maharashtra has a unique importance in the production of turmeric. No doubt, it is the main ingredient of Asian cuisine.
Where should you use it?
I think there is something wrong with the question .it should be used everywhere. Although I am open to discussion about that. My point is that this flavor enhancer spices used in foodstuff, cosmetics, and medicine. This is mainly used in Asian and Middle Eastern cooking which acts as coloring agents in cheese, butter and other dishes. It makes the best pair with bakery and dairy products. It can be sprinkled into sweet and savory dishes.

What are its health benefits?
It’s looking so beautiful and wonderful that spices are provided us with a lot of health benefits. Its herbal qualities have numerous importance in the field of medicine. It helps to treat many ailments like wound healing, small and chickenpox, skin cancer, liver, and urinary tract infections. Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, it can be used for digestive disorders like jaundice, loss of appetite, etc.
If you want fresh and glowing skin, then applied a paste of turmeric as it exfoliates your skin and this remedy has been used by Pakistani and Indians to groom before marriage and has attached traditional significance with turmeric.

Can you overdo it?
Someone said that the excess of everything is bad. As it has no toxic side effects of turmeric but keep in mind some people may suffer from stomach issues like nausea, diarrhea, and dizziness.
