Losing Your Hair? Try Some of These Foods

Ayesha Aziz

Losing hair can be a simply devastating experience. For long, thick, luscious hair has been the standard of beauty. It is what frames our face and helps us flaunt our signature fashion moments. So, when you start noticing those bare hints of balding, needless to say, you jump into action immediately. The first thing that gets changed (or at least should be) is the food. However, it is important that if the hair loss is extensive, you should consult a professional doctor.

There are many reasons why you could be losing your hair. Protein, vitamin or iron deficiency can cause your hair quality to deteriorate. Moreover, hormonal imbalances are usually experienced post-pregnancy. This is why many women complain of losing their hair at that time. Stress hair fall is also quite common, especially today. It could be pattern baldness, chemical burns from bleaching or dying, or some infection. You must find the actual cause of your hair loss. These foods might not work out for you otherwise. If the cause is genetic, then, unfortunately, you need to look for some other solutions.

For now, let’s take a look at some foods that can help with your hair fall problems.

Eat some Gooey Eggs

These are the best sources of protein. If you must know, our hair is primarily composed of a protein called keratin. If you aren’t consuming enough of this compound, the basic structure of your hair can’t form. This will inevitably lead to hair loss.

Your skin and nails will also benefit from this gooey goodness. There are so many things that you can do with an egg too. There omelette, fried egg, boiled egg, scrambled egg, and poached eggs. Just add some butter on the side and you’ll have the perfect meal to start the day. Moreover, with eggs, you’ll also be stocking on some vitamins, such as B12, Vitamin D and A.

Have some Popeye’s Beloved Spinach

As mentioned above, some nutritional deficiencies can cause your hair to fall out. One such nutrient is iron. Research shows that those with iron deficiency experience hair fall, especially in women before menopause. Without iron, our red blood cells won’t be able to carry oxygen to different parts of the body. This includes the hair follicles on your head.

Now, although I don’t promise the powers of Popeye, you can get gorgeous hair through the consumption of this leafy green vegetable. Not only is it rich in iron, but it also contains proteins and vitamins in it. For those glossy hairs, you can’t find better food for yourself. Better yet, it’s winter, so you can gobble them up as much as you can.

And End with Nuts

Nuts are something we end up with while taking one of our routine walks in the kitchen. They are quite convenient snacks and full of energy. A lot of health bars contain them because of their nutritious properties.

But the nuts that are the best for your hair are walnuts and peanuts. They contain biotin, which gets converted to keratin. Thus, they are perfect for great hair. Moreover, they contain loads of minerals and vitamins. So, if you want good hair, don’t miss out on these.

Hair loss is one of the problems which almost every woman faces. Moreover, people usually think that merely applying hair tonics nd all those different variety of hair oils would help them get good hair though none ponder upon their food intake. Whereas poor nutrition in many cases is the root cause for multiple dermatological problems. Hair consists of keratin protein nd i highly agree with the fact that all these rich sources of proteins i.e eggs nd spinach would help one get good healthy hair. Good work!
